The Unfair Trading Practices Prevention Unit supervises and controlls the fulfilment of the Prohibition of Unfair Trading Practices Law (PUTPL). The Unfair Trading Practices Prevention Unit examines the submissions regarding violations of the PUTPL in relation to the economic activity of a supplier, buyer or retailer of non-food products in Latvia.
The Unfair Trading Practices Prevention Unit prevents unfair trading practices in the entire supply chain of agricultural and food products, and also the use of the buying power of the retailers of non-food products against suppliers.
